A scientist’s endless curiosity and rigorous methodology are gifts to the postmodern spiritual sojourner. For progressive Christians, science provides new ways of thinking about God’s nature and activity in our reality. From the wondrous revelations of the Hubble Space Telescope, whose images evoke Spielbergian responses of childlike wonder and joy, to the bizarre, parallel-reality, multidimensional implications of string theory, through the revelation of the geologic record, science is an essential vehicle of God’s revelation in the 21st Century.
